Nicolas Gaudreau was appointed Chief Marketing Officer in March 2012. He leads the development and overall marketing of digital, mobile and print products and services for the Company’s various brands. Prior to this position he was Vice President – Digital & Print Media, Acquisition and Retention for Yellow Pages Group.
Nicolas Gaudreau is a Canadian media telecommunications executive, entrepreneur and lecturer, known for his key role in the early development of the online media industry in Canada. He is often considered a pioneer of the industry in Canada.
Before joining Yellow Pages Group, Gaudreau was heading the Quebec division of the interactive agency Nurun (2008-2009). His primary responsibility was to develop and execute a strategic plan that allowed the agency to expand existing markets, develop new customers and revitalize existing customers
Prior to this, Mr. Gaudreau was Vice President, Interactive Marketing from 2007 to 2008 at Bell Canada, where he lead the growth of the largest e-commerce site in Canada, www.bell.ca and before he was Vice President, Quebec Marketing (2006-2007) at Bell, where he was responsible to regain Internet access market share the company had lost to its main competitor.
Mr. Gaudreau helped shaped the early standards of the Canadian online media industry as president of the Quebec Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) chapter during his tenure as Vice President of news & entertainment portal Sympatico-Lycos (1999-2003). In this role, he oversaw the development and growth of www.sympatico.ca, which is still today Canadian's largest portal.
Mr. Gaudreau has also been a lecturer at Université de Montréal, where he shared his passion for Interactive communication when he taught Internet Business for three years.
Nicolas Gaudreau holds a B. Eng. degree from McGill University and a MBA from INSEAD. He is also a Board Member of Danse Danse, a non-profit organization, which aims to promote and increase the visibility of contemporary dance, both new creations and repertory works. His current fields of research and interests are in the area of mobile commerce and social shopping.
