Seductive New Radio Spots for autoTRADER.ca
Toronto (Ontario), September 24, 2010 — AutoTRADER.ca™ launched a provocative new radio advertising campaign earlier this month. The ad agency john st. created two 30-second radio ads with a literal take on the concept of people being “turned on” by cars. The spots are currently airing in the top stations in 15 cities and communities across Canada up until early November.
“These daring spots are designed to capture audience attention and direct them to autoTRADER.ca so that it stays top of mind for Canadian car shoppers,” explained Stéphane Marceau, Chief Marketing Officer. “Early results show that our bold approach is paying off since autoTRADER.ca has experienced a 26 percent increase in first-time visitors in about two weeks,” added Marceau.
The two versions of the radio ads showcase navigation assistants giving directions in an increasingly seductive manner. Consumers are invited to visit autoTRADER.ca if they also get turned on by cars, with the promise to not only find the most new and used cars, but also get “very, very happy”.
AutoTRADER.ca is Canada’s number one destination for new and used cars through its print and online properties. The site attracts approximately 2 million unique visitors monthly (source: comScore Media Metrix).
