Yellow Pages Group Doubly Honoured By Local Search Association
YPG receives two Gold Excellence Awards for its innovative mobile local search placement product and its MarketProfiler™ online evaluation tool
Montreal (Quebec), April 27, 2012 — Yellow Pages Group (YPG), the Canadian leader in the local commercial research market, was recently honoured in Boca Raton, Florida, at the Local Search Association’s Industry Excellence Awards. YPG received two Gold Awards: one in the mobile platform category and another for most innovative program.

YPG received the Gold Award in the mobile platform or new app category for its mobile local search placement product. Launched in July 2011, this product, which is YPG’s first foray into mobile advertising, puts local small businesses at the top of the list in mobile searches for their products or services. With traffic on mobile search engines growing steadily, it meets a genuine need. It is crucial for companies to capture consumers’ attention so that their searches translate into new sales. Six months after its launch, more than 13,000 Canadian SMEs have invested in mobile placement, purchasing 19,000 advertising units.
YPG’s MarketProfiler™ was also honoured with the Gold Award, in the most innovative program category. It is the first free automated online performance evaluation tool of its kind in Canada.
