Canada411.ca, One of Canada’s Favourite Online Directories, Makes It Easier to Find Who You’re Looking For!

Montreal (Québec), October 5, 2004 – Searching for residential listings or people online just got easier. Yellow Pages Group (YPG) just launched state-of-the-art search functionalities on its “Find a Person” look-up on Canada411.ca.

The “Find a Person” search tool now provides a reverse look-up feature that gives users the option to search for an entire residential listing by simply entering a phone number or an address. And, for those who are not sure of the correct spelling of the person’s name they want to find, no problem. Another new feature of the “Find a Person” look-up provides search results from partial names. You simply have to click on the “Begin with” option to get a list of potential names. YPG’s “Find a Person” look-up will also allow users to find an area code or a postal code anywhere in Canada.

“The additional search features are designed to enhance the user’s experience and improve the way Web users can search for information,” says Jean-Pascal Lion, Vice President – Electronic Directories, Yellow Pages Group. “We expect these improvements to help continue to increase user traffic on our sites.”

YPG has partnered with W3 Data, Inc., a leading provider of online directory assistance services and operator of the WhitePages.com Network, to provide the new features. W3 Data, Inc. will also be hosting and providing operational support for the “Find a Person” look-up.

Online users will also be able to access the new “Find a Person” through YPG’s online business partners, including Sympatico.MSN.ca™, AOL.ca™, Netscape.ca, Canada.com and Globeandmail.com. The new features are available both in English and French.

YPG’s network of Web sites, including Canada411.ca and YellowPages.ca, received 3.8 million unique visitors in July 2004 (comScore Media Metrix Canada).
