Our commitment

Yellow Pages Group is committed to being a good neighbour to all Canadians.

As a company that links nearly every Canadian household to a vast network of small and medium sized enterprises, we recognize that we have an important role in communities throughout the country. We will demonstrate our commitment of being a responsible corporate citizen and good neighbour to all Canadians by proactively integrating social considerations into the decisions we make and the actions we take every day.

Yellow Pages Group will:

  • Identify and support those community initiatives that align with our corporate values and those of our employees.
  • Provide opportunities for employees to contribute their energies on a volunteer basis.
  • Adopt internal standards and systems to monitor our community performance.

Community programs:

Yellow Pages Group has developed a number of programs and activities that demonstrate our commitment to investing in the communities we serve.  Following are highlights of some of our most recent initiatives:

  • Make it Real: the Make it Real program recognizes local small businesses that demonstrate strong community involvement. The program is offered in 10 communities across Canada.

  • Social Committees: Yellow Pages Group helps its offices' social committees in their efforts to raise funds for local charities and employee activities.

  • Matching Donations Program: Yellow Pages Group has designated the Canadian Cancer Society as its Charity of Choice and the Company matches donations made by employees annually.

  • Yellow Pages Group supported various charities across Canada in 2005, notably the Canadian Cancer Society, the Canadian Red Cross and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
