Vice President and Treasurer

Barbara E. Oberleitner was appointed Vice President and Treasurer in May 2009. Prior to her appointment, Ms. Oberleitner served as Chief Compliance Officer of Yellow Pages Group from April 2007. She joined the Company in 2004 as Director, Taxation.

In her current role, Ms. Oberleitner oversees treasury, corporate finance, corporate planning, taxation and risk management. Her team is instrumental in maintaining strong corporate relationships with rating agencies, the investment banking industry and the broader investment community.

Ms. Oberleitner brings to her current role over 19 years of experience. She has notably held senior management positions and was responsible for tax planning and auditing. Before joining Yellow Pages Group, she was Tax Director for Quebecor World Inc. where she oversaw tax planning, corporate tax structure, compliance and tax accounting. She also worked at KPMG as a Senior Tax Manager.

Ms. Oberleitner is known for her strong organizational and problem solving skills. She has a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Concordia University. She is a Chartered Accountant and a Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of British Columbia, Ontario and Québec. In 1998, she completed CICA’s In-Depth Tax Course.

Since 2008, Ms. Oberleitner is a member of the Board of Directors of The Foundation for the Study of Processes of Government in Canada, a non-profit charitable organization that is best known for its youth program that promotes the understanding of the role of government in Canada and the meaning of Canadian citizenship and democracy.
Ms. Oberleitner is a 2008 alumna of the Governor General's Canadian Leadership Conference.
