Montreal (Quebec), June 5, 2008 – After five successful years at Yellow Pages Group (TSX: YLO.UN), Scott Wambolt, Senior Vice President of Sales, has informed the company of his decision to pursue other career opportunities. Scott joined YPG in April 2003 following the management buyout.
“Scott made a strong contribution to the team and met his objectives, notably of bringing the sales organisation to one of Canada’s largest face to face sales forces focused on small and medium-sized businesses. He can be proud of his accomplishments at YPG and we wish him the best in his future endeavours,” said Marc P. Tellier, President and Chief Executive Officer, Yellow Pages Group.
YPG has one of the most effective sales organizations in the industry globally. The sales leadership team will remain intact and report directly to the CEO. The current strong sales executive team comprised of three vice presidents of sales covering the national platform for directories, namely Paul Batchelor, Vice President, Sales for Alberta and British Columbia, David Toms, Vice President, Sales for Central Region, as well as Paul Lalonde, Vice President, Sales for Quebec and Atlantic Canada, will continue to build on the momentum established.
