David Gilbert Vice President – Sales, Your Community PhoneBook

David Gilbert serves as the Vice President of Sales for the U.S. based business unit Your Community PhoneBook as of September 2008, following Yellow Pages Group's acquisition of Volt Directory Services, the directory service division of Volt Information Sciences Inc. He brings to his current role 26 years of sales and senior management experience in the U.S. directory industry.

Prior to joining Yellow Pages Group, Mr. Gilbert served as Chief Operating Officer for Volt Directory Services - Your Community PhoneBook, providing directories to more than 150 U.S. markets, a position he held for eight years. During the 1990s, he co-founded a directory company, which sold to Volt Information Sciences Inc. in 1998. In that same year, he took on the role of Director of Sales, Volt Directory Services - Your Community PhoneBook. He began his career in the directory industry in 1984 with Bell South Advertising & Publishing.

In parallel with his directory career, Mr. Gilbert served as a Special Forces officer in the U.S. Army. In 1990, he served as an advisor during Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm.

Mr. Gilbert holds a Bachelor's degree in Management from Auburn University in Alabama. He has received numerous U.S. military decorations and awards, and retired in 2006 as a Colonel of the U.S. Army Special Forces after 30 years of service.
