Dr. Munroe-Blum is the Principal and Vice-Chancellor of McGill University since January 2003. Prior to December 2002, Dr. Munroe-Blum was a Professor and Vice-President, Research and International Relations at the University of Toronto. Dr. Munroe-Blum is an Officer of the Order of Canada and a specially Elected Fellow in the Academy of Science of the Royal Society of Canada.

She currently serves on the Board of the McGill University Health Centre, The Conference Board of Canada, Board of Trade of Metropolitan Montreal, Montréal International, the Association of Universities and Colleges of Canada, the Association of American Universities, the Universities Research Association and Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts.
