Doug A. Clarke

Douglas (Doug) Clarke was appointed President of Trader Corporation, a Canadian leader in print and online vertical media, in June 2006. Prior to the creation of Trader Corporation,
Mr. Clarke served as Senior Group Publisher for Trader Media Corporation in Ontario.
Mr. Clarke began his career in the advertising directory business when he joined Tele-Direct, a Yellow Page Group predecessor company, in 1991. He held various sales management and marketing positions which eventually led him to the Director of Sales role launching the Bell Zinc portal, an online sales and customer service centre targeted at the SME market. In 2002, Mr. Clarke was appointed Director of Sales of Yellow Pages Group’s Ontario Elite Sales Channel. Under Mr. Clarke’s leadership, the sales team reached more than $100M in annual revenue and experienced three years of consecutive growth.
Known for his competitive nature and ability to build and develop strong management teams, Mr. Clarke has consistently exceeded corporate objectives while achieving profitability.
Mr. Clarke is a graduate of St. Michael’s College School in Toronto and he has a Bachelor of Arts Degree from The Colorado College. He is involved in minor league hockey and lives in Toronto with his wife Leigh-Ann and their two children.
